Cinemark Project A Powerful Message
Poignant and powerful! Superlative adjectives that aptly describe the award-winning film advert produced by Ogilvy Johannesburg for The Topsy Foundation. The 95” advert depicts 90days in the life of an HIV/AIDS patient, Selina, revealing her dramatic recovery after administering Anti-Retroviral Drugs. Cinemark, the local representative of Cannes Lions, is proud to screen the advert that has received international acclaim this year after winning South Africa’s first gold Cannes Lion in film, in 12-years.
As part of their Corporate Social Responsibility and in line with the LEAD SA initiative, Cinemark, leading cinema advertising brokers will be screening the advert at all digital cinemas across the country to assist The Topsy Foundation with their two-fold objective: to create awareness around ARVs effectiveness as well as to help the NGO raise funds to continue the valuable work they do.
“This short advert was shown at the Vienna AIDS conference in July and is just the most uplifting and positive piece of communication as it shows with ARV’s, the effects of AIDS can be reversed;” says Louise Johnston, Business Director at Ogilvy Johannesburg.
